Reuters reported that Colombian President Gustavo Petro met with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, at the White House.
Petro said that he discussed Venezuelan oil, the fight against drugs, and bilateral trade with Trump.
He described the meeting as decisive and said that the two countries share common goals in various fields.
Earlier, Donald Trump had accused Gustavo Petro of owning drug production facilities and alleged that products manufactured in those facilities were being smuggled into the United States.
At the time, Trump had warned that he would also take action against Petro.
