International media report that a group of unidentified hackers has reportedly penetrated the system of China’s National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin, gaining access to nearly 10 petabytes of highly sensitive data.
According to reports, the cyberattack took place over several months, during which the hackers managed to extract a massive cache of critical research and technical data.
The stolen information reportedly contains highly sensitive documents related to aerospace research, military technology, bioinformatics, and nuclear weapons.
Reports suggest that the stolen data has also been put up for sale online.
The Chinese government has yet to make any official comment on the incident.
