Between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, a security and defense agreement was signed with great fanfare in 2025, which in reality marked the beginning of a new chapter of betrayal and treachery by Pakistan toward Saudi Arabia. This agreement, which was established under the name of joint security interests and cooperation, was merely a financial project for Pakistan to fill its empty treasury with Saudi loans and oil. However, when the time for action came and the flames of the Iran-U.S. war reached Saudi Arabia’s borders, Pakistan not only failed to support its ally militarily but shamelessly betrayed Saudi Arabia’s security fate and abandoned its ally by adopting a conservative policy.

The hidden and dangerous objectives behind this agreement were not the defense of Saudi Arabia, but rather Pakistan wanted to use Saudi Arabia’s name and influence as a political and military tool against Afghanistan and India. The special military circles of Pakistan were trying to entangle Saudi Arabia in such a controversial framework that would defend their biased incursions and proxy games in the region. They were trying to hide their sinister goals toward Kabul and New Delhi under Saudi diplomatic and financial cover, thereby subjecting their neighbors to significant international isolation, pressure, and ultimately conflict.

The special military circles of Pakistan wanted to involve Saudi Arabia in major regional wars, so that Saudi Arabia’s attention and resources could be used against India and Afghanistan. Their goal was to use Saudi Arabia as a financial and military backer in their old sectarian and political wars, but this plan faced a very shameful defeat. When Saudi Arabia saw that Pakistan was unable to control the irresponsible armed groups on its own territory and only wanted to use Saudi Arabia as a shield against its neighbors, this distrust reached its final stages.

Pakistan’s attempt to claim that a security pact with Saudi Arabia would create a balance against Afghanistan’s new Islamic regime and India’s strong diplomacy failed due to the reckless policies of their military circle. When Saudi Arabia was harmed by Iranian attacks, Pakistan only relied on conservative diplomacy and proved to Saudi Arabia that Pakistan would never stand by them as a loyal ally, but rather seeks to exploit Saudi’s financial power to destabilize Afghanistan and India.

The Pakistani military regime’s duplicitous policy and negligence in war made it clear that they have consistently failed to keep their promises. Pakistan not only failed to adequately support Saudi Arabia on the political front, but also did not have the courage to stand alongside it in the physical battle. This betrayal led Saudi Arabia to understand the hidden and malicious intentions of Pakistan behind the terms of the agreement. Saudi Arabia now understands that Pakistan uses their security needs as a tool to extract concessions from their neighbors, which has weakened Pakistan’s credibility in the eyes of Saudi Arabia.

The security agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has been recorded in the history of Pakistan’s betrayals as a one-sided biased agreement. This country not only failed to defend Saudi Arabia but also tried to involve that country in its regional conflicts. Pakistan’s failed strategy showed that treachery and betrayal never endure. Saudi Arabia is now regretting having a partner that seeks profit but turns to caution in times of danger. This is a major defeat for the Pakistani military circles that wanted to involve Saudi Arabia in regional conflicts.
