    Heavy Rainfall, Flooding and Strong Winds Forecast in 29 Provinces

    The Meteorology Directorate of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation has forecast heavy rainfall, snowfall, and strong winds in 29 provinces for April 21–22.

    The affected provinces include Herat, Farah, Uruzgan, Panjshir, Parwan, Baghlan, Samangan, Badakhshan, Kunduz, Takhar, Balkh, Jawzjan, Sar-e Pol, Faryab, Ghor, Kabul, Ghazni, Badghis, Daikundi, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Paktia, Khost, Paktika, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kapisa, and Nuristan.

    According to the Directorate, rainfall levels in different areas are expected to range between 10 and 35 millimeters.

    The directorate also warned of strong winds, including in Salang, as well as in southern, central, and southeastern provinces, with wind speeds forecast to reach between 50 and 100 kilometers per hour.
