The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan has stated that Afghanistan is the shared home of all Afghans, adding that citizens currently in Qatar awaiting U.S. visas can safely return to their homeland with confidence.

Citing media reports, the Ministry stated that some Afghans have been given the option by the United States to either return to their country or remain in a third country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that there are no security threats for anyone in Afghanistan, adding that citizens intending to travel abroad may do so through legal channels anytime.
