The Supreme Court’s spokesperson, Mawlawi Abdul Rahim Rashid, has stated that the courts of the Islamic Emirate addressed a total of 4,021 cases and matters related to women’s rights during the third quarter of the 1447 lunar Hijri year.

He noted that the cases included 1,275 inheritance and property disputes, 2,462 cases related to the registration of property ownership documents in the names of women where the dowry (mahr) had already been determined, and 284 cases concerning the issuance of inheritance and ownership certificates.

Mawlawi Rashid assured that the Supreme Court remains fully committed to safeguarding the Sharia-based rights of all citizens, with particular stress on women, and continues to ensure that women-related cases are processed promptly in accordance with Islamic rulings.
