    Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi Discusses Regional Issues with Saudi Counterpart

    Afghanistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held a telephone conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Fisal bin Farhan.

    According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the call covered bilateral relations, facilities for Afghans residing in Saudi Arabia, and regional issues.

    Muttaqi welcomed efforts to improve information delivery to Afghan nationals in Saudi Arabia and to enhance human capacity within diplomatic missions.

    Meanwhile, the Saudi Foreign Minister emphasized the expansion of bilateral diplomatic relations and also supported strengthening the capacity of diplomatic missions.

    He further described regional stability as important for all and stressed dialogue and diplomacy as key to resolving conflicts.

    The Ministry added that both sides also agreed to continue their engagement and expressed willingness to meet at an appropriate opportunity.
