The Ministry of Interior Affairs Afghanistan says that police forces have discovered and seized 10 American Beretta pistols and 1,000 rounds of ammunition in the Zando area of Dand Patan district in Paktia Province.
The ministry added that these weapons and munitions were being smuggled into Afghanistan from Pakistan by traffickers.
According to the ministry, the smugglers fled the area, but efforts by the police to arrest them are ongoing.
