The Ministry of Higher Education stated that an Afghan delegation, led by Minister Sheikh Nida Mohammad Nadim, held a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk on the sidelines of the 17th Kazan International Discussion Forum.

According to the ministry, Mr. Nadim stressed the importance of sustaining relations between Afghanistan and Russia, adding that both sides should work to further develop and strengthen direct trade ties.

In the same context, Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi also stressed the importance of maintaining and strengthening trade relations with Russia, adding that any attempts by certain parties to undermine relations between Afghanistan and Russia should be prevented.
