The Ministry of Interior Affairs has reported that, over the past year, counterterrorism units of the Kunduz police command have recovered dozens of weapons and thousands of rounds of ammunition following a series of operations.

According to the ministry, the recovered weapons and munitions include 22 Kalashnikov rifles, several pistols, four shotguns, a number of explosive devices, and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

The ministry further reported that 52 individuals were detained in connection with the possession and attempted illegal use of these weapons and munitions. Following initial investigations, they have been referred to judicial and legal authorities for further legal precedings.
