Associated Press reports that an explosion has taken place at a shipbuilding facility in New York City.
At least one individual was killed and 36 others injured in the explosion.
More than ten firefighters are also among the injured, with several in critical condition.
Authorities in the United States have not yet disclosed the cause of the explosion.
