    Afghanistan and United Nations Stress Continued and Constructive Engagement

    Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held a telephone conversation with Rosemary DiCarlo, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs.

    According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions focused on the delivery of humanitarian assistance to vulnerable Afghans and ways to further enhance the effectiveness of aid operations.

    DiCarlo praised the facilitation and cooperation provided by the Islamic Emirate for humanitarian activities and shared updates with the Afghan side regarding recent developments related to UNAMA.

    The Ministry added that both sides also emphasized the continuation of mutual understanding, constructive engagement, and expanded cooperation.
