Author and analyst Dr. Lutfullah Khairkhwa, reacting to Pakistan’s recent strikes on Afghanistan, said these incidents are not accidental but, in his view, part of a long-term Pakistani policy directed against Afghanistan.
He stated that attacks on Afghan territory and the resulting civilian casualties pose a serious threat to regional stability and should be addressed through a long-term, well-organized strategy rather than temporary emotional reactions.
He emphasized that the Afghan government should develop comprehensive plans to strengthen its defense capabilities and take measures suited to the current security situation to reinforce the country’s security.
Mr. Khairkhwa added that military advancement and the development of defense infrastructure cannot be achieved in a short period, but require time, technical resources, and sustained management.
He said that the process of strengthening the country’s defense system should move forward according to a long-term plan so that Afghanistan can maintain a stronger position against potential future threats.
In his remarks, he also claimed that some individuals are involved in providing information used to target Afghan civilian areas and homes and are working for foreign intelligence agencies.
He called for firm action against such individuals, stating that if these allegations are proven, they should be dealt with seriously in accordance with the country’s laws and Islamic legal principles.
In conclusion, Khairkhwa stressed that no attack or act of violence against Afghanistan would go unanswered and, in his words, every action would be held accountable in due course.
He further emphasized that Afghans are united in defending their country and will stand firm in the face of external pressure.
