According to a CNN report, U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, has traveled to Doha, the capital of Qatar, for talks with Iranian representatives.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, said that a delegation of Iranian experts is also heading to Doha, but it will not hold direct meetings with the U.S. delegation.
President Trump stated that Iran had requested the meeting, which is scheduled to take place in Doha.
The White House has confirmed that Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, will participate in the meeting.
However, Iranian officials have denied reports of direct or technical talks between Tehran and Washington, describing such claims as inaccurate.
