Afghanistan’s Ministry of National Defense announced that Defense Minister Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid visited the Darul Uloom of the late Martyr Mawlawi Mohammad Amin (RA) during his visit to Warduj district of Badakhshan province.
The Chief of Army Staff, Mawlawi Qari Mohammad Fasihuddin Fitrat, accompanied the Defense Minister during the visit.
Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid met with the seminary’s officials, teachers, and students, listened to their concerns and proposals, and stressed the importance of strengthening religious education, improving academic standards, and preserving Islamic and national values.
The Defense Minister described religious scholars and seminaries as playing a vital role in the intellectual and moral development of society and affirmed that the Afghan government will continue supporting and expanding religious seminaries countrywide.
