The Governor of Badakhshan, Mawlawi Mohammad Ismail Ghaznavi, has dismissed reports claiming that there are disagreements between Juma Khan Fateh, the former deputy governor of Zabul in Badakhshan.

Speaking to reporters, Ghaznavi said that the reports alleging a dispute between Juma Khan Fateh and the government are untrue.

The Badakhshan governor also rejected claims that security forces had been deployed to arrest Juma Khan Fateh, adding that the Islamic Emirate has never carried out any military operation to detain him.
