According to CENTCOM, the soldier was killed during a controlled detonation to destroy the drone’s wreckage. Another American service member was injured in the incident.
The confirmation follows an earlier Iranian missile attack in Jordan, in which two American soldiers were killed, one was reported missing, and four others were injured.
