Al Arabiya, citing a Lebanese source, reported that Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio have agreed on the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon and the launch of the agreement’s implementation.
According to the source, during his meeting with Rubio in Washington, Aoun urged Israel to begin withdrawing from the first designated area specified under the agreement.
Aoun also called on the United States to expand its support for the Lebanese Army and the country’s military institutions.
