In a new investigative report, Amnesty International said that the Pakistani military’s deadly airstrike on the Omid Drug Rehabilitation Center in Kabul on March 16, 2026 (26 Hoot 1404) should be investigated as a possible war crime.

According to the report, at least 269 civilians were martyred and 122 others were injured in the attack.

Amnesty International emphasized that it found no evidence to support the Pakistani military’s claims that the rehabilitation center was being used to store weapons and ammunition or for any other military purposes.

The Pakistani regime’s strike on the drug rehabilitation center has drawn widespread international condemnation and has been described as a clear act of aggression and brutality against Afghanistan.
