The ISNA News Agency has reported that former European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said the U.S. and Israeli war against Iran ended in complete failure on all fronts, describing the initial understanding reached between Washington and Tehran as favorable to Iran.
Borrell stated that the Israeli government had sought to establish regional dominance through military force, but the war against Iran failed to achieve its intended objectives.
He also claimed that U.S. President Donald Trump has become frustrated with Benjamin Netanyahu’s hardline stance and his efforts that undermined peace initiatives.
According to Borrell, the international community should increase practical pressure on Israel to comply with international law, but no serious action has been taken in this regard so far.
