The Balkh Provincial Police Command’s press office said in a statement that 314 eligible individuals among the beggars collected in Mazar-e-Sharif and the districts of Balkh province have received food and hygiene supplies following a comprehensive assessment.
According to the statement, the Counter-Narcotics Management Directorate of the Balkh Police Command and a committee formed for this purpose distributed flour, cooking oil, rice, beans, mung beans, macaroni, sugar, tomato paste, tea, shampoo, soap and dishwashing liquid to the recipients.
Officials said the aid program will continue in the future to help improve the living conditions of vulnerable and impoverished people.
