The Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement that, as a result of various operations conducted by police forces, 615 kilograms of different types of narcotics, 4,500 narcotic pills, and 1,170 kilograms of Ephedra plants were discovered and seized in Nimroz, Kabul, and Uruzgan provinces.
According to the statement, Ephedra plants are used in the production of methamphetamine, and four people were also arrested in connection with the trafficking of these substances.
The statement added that the arrested individuals will be handed over to judicial and legal authorities after their cases are completed.
