Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that sending European or British troops to Ukraine would mean entering into a direct war with Russia, Tasnim News Agency reported.
According to the report, Putin made the remarks in response to recent speculation that European countries and Britain could deploy troops to Ukraine. He said such a move would directly draw Europe into a war with Russia.
Putin also asked Western leaders where they are leading their people, toward war or direct confrontation with Russia.
He stressed that any attempt by the European Union and Britain to deploy troops to Ukraine would mean directly entering the war against Russia.
