Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, reacting to rising energy prices in the United States, said that the country’s real economic problems have not yet begun.
In a post on his X account, he wrote that the rise in gasoline prices and the temporary increase in the stock market should be forgotten, because the real economic pressure will begin when debt levels and mortgage interest rates rise.
Araghchi added that auto loan defaults in the United States have now reached their highest level in more than 30 years.
He stressed that this entire situation was preventable, but the necessary measures were not taken.
