The Ministry of Defense said in a statement that a delegation from the 209th Al Fatah Corps, led by Abdul Wasi Nazari, commander of the 11th Border Brigade in Jawzjan, met with Makhdum Quli Berdiyov, commander of Turkmenistan’s Imam Quli Border Brigade.
The two sides discussed security along the border and ways to strengthen coordination between their border forces, according to the statement.
They described relations between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan as friendly and stressed the importance of continuing joint efforts to strengthen border security.
