Last night, Afghan defense forces, in a retaliatory move, targeted Pakistan’s posts near the unrecognized Durand Line in Khost province.
According to the Khost provincial government, the incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. when Pakistani military forces began shelling mortar rounds on three villages along the unrecognized Durand Line in the Ali Sher district, including Erokam, Kazha, and Garab.
The Afghan forces responded to the Pakistani shelling, targeting the posts and military centers with both heavy and light weapons.
This follows a similar clash a few days ago, during which Afghan defense forces, in response to a Pakistani military offensive, struck ISIS and Pakistani military bases on the other side of the unrecognized Durand Line, inflicting heavy casualties.
