The General Directorate of State-Owned Companies has announced that during a visit to Iran, the director general, Mawlawi Ahmad Jan Bilal, accompanied by the Chief Executive Officer of the State-Owned Oil and Gas Company, Mohammad Naseer Rahimi, met with Iran’s Minister of Petroleum, Mohsen Paknejad.
During the meeting, the two sides held comprehensive discussions on expanding bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector, supplying Afghanistan with its required oil and gas, professional and technical training, and joint cooperation in oil and gas exploration.
Mawlawi Ahmad Jan Bilal and his accompanying delegation also visited the Research Center of Iran’s Ministry of Petroleum and oil refineries in Tehran, where they reviewed the technical and professional activities and facilities of these centers.
The Iranian side expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive cooperation, necessary coordination, and implement joint cooperation in the aforementioned areas.
At the conclusion of the meeting, joint technical teams from both sides were also introduced, which will undertake the necessary activities and coordination to implement the agreed areas of cooperation.
