The General Directorate of State-Owned Companies said in a statement that its director general, Mawlawi Ahmad Jan Bilal, held talks with Iran’s Agriculture Minister Gholam-Reza Nouri on cooperation in importing agricultural equipment and machinery, improved seeds, poultry feed and day-old chicks, as well as rehabilitating silos.
According to the directorate, Nouri expressed Iran’s readiness to cooperate with Afghanistan in these areas and pledged to assist in rehabilitating Afghanistan’s existing silos and, when necessary, constructing new ones.
The two sides also discussed joint cooperation in various agricultural fields, sharing expertise and experience, and expanding economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and Iran.
Mawlawi Ahmad Jan Bilal called for joint efforts and closer coordination to implement the agreed areas of cooperation, strengthen Afghanistan’s agricultural sector, and further expand economic and trade ties between the two countries.
