The Balkh provincial media office stated that a delegation led by Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, Deputy Minister of Railways at the Ministry of Public Works, met in Hairatan port with Hikmatullah Rahmatov, Deputy Head of Uzbekistan Railways, and his accompanying delegation, where they agreed to provide 24-hour services at Hairatan Port.

According to officials, this will lead to improvements in several areas, including increased transport services, easier access to laboratory services, and the expansion of cargo transfers.

Officials also noted that the number of freight wagons will increase from 130 to between 500 and 700.

Both sides emphasized the importance of transporting goods via railway and assured further cooperation to create more facilities in this sector.
