The Deputy Minister for Counter-Narcotics at the Ministry of Interior, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Munir, during a visit to Uzbekistan, met with the country’s Minister of Interior, Aziz Tashpuladovich.
The Ministry of Interior stated that Mr. Munir discussed coordination and strengthening of joint efforts against narcotics and assured the Uzbek side of cooperation in this regard.
The ministry added that both sides, in addition to further discussions on preventing narcotics, also agreed to form a technical team to prevent drug trafficking at the borders.
According to the information, this technical team will work to enhance coordination and effectiveness in combating drug trafficking.
