The Afghan Embassy in Kyrgyzstan has announced that an agreement was reached to establish a Joint Afghanistan-Kyrgyzstan Trade Council during the Afghanistan-Kyrgyzstan Trade Forum held in Bishkek.

The council will work to strengthen direct ties between business communities in both countries, coordinate joint initiatives, and support the development and promotion of economic projects.

According to the statement, the forum was attended by officials from government institutions of both countries, members of their chambers of commerce, and representatives of the private sector.

Speaking at the meeting, the Acting Head of the Afghan Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, Mawlawi Abdul Shakoor Haqqani, said there is significant potential for cooperation between the two countries in the areas of trade, economy, investment, and transit.

He emphasized that strengthening commercial relations would be beneficial to both Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
