Al Jazeera, citing its sources in Syria, has reported that Ahmed Al-Shar’a, also known as Abu Mohammad Al-Jolani, has been officially appointed as the head of Syria’s transitional government.
Following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, power shifted to the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) group under Jolani’s leadership.
Initially, the group appointed Mohammad Bashir to lead the transitional government. However, Jolani has now formally taken over the position himself.
