Arab media report that U.S. President Donald Trump is set to meet today in Saudi Arabia with Ahmed al-Sharaa, the head of Syria’s transitional government.
The meeting, according to sources, will be hosted by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Discussions are expected to focus on the situation in Syria, including the possibility of lifting U.S. sanctions imposed on the country.
President Trump arrived in Saudi Arabia as part of a three-day visit to Arab states.
