Al-Mersad media outlet, citing its sources, has reported that ISIS members opposed to contacts with intelligence agencies have killed one of their own companions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on charges of spying.

The sources added that the killed ISIS member was named Ruhullah, who was known among the Kharijites by the names Zakariya and Ahmad.

According to Al-Mersad, Ruhullah had been recruited into the ranks of ISIS in Turkey several years ago. In Afghanistan, besides carrying out attacks on civilian and military targets, he was also involved in kidnapping operations conducted under the umbrella of the group’s economic department.

The report further states that Tirah Jabar Mela, Tor Dara, and Orakzai are currently considered important ISIS strongholds in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and in recent times deadly attacks have also been carried out against members of the group.
