Al-Sahab Foundation, the media arm of al-Qaeda’s Indian Subcontinent branch, has issued a statement strongly condemning Pakistan’s recent attacks on Afghanistan.
The statement says Pakistan is carrying out these attacks under the direction of the United States, adding that the group will continue to support and defend the Afghan government on all fronts.
It further states that the Afghan government is currently the only legitimate Islamic system, with the hopes of oppressed Muslims worldwide tied to it. The statement adds that, for this reason, global powers have not recognized it and are seeking to isolate and weaken it through their proxies and affiliated organizations.
In its concluding remarks, the statement calls on the people of Pakistan, along with military personnel and pilots, to reject the orders of their “irreligious leaders” and rise against them. It further states that these leaders have, for years, looted the country’s resources and handed over its nuclear program to Americans and Jews.
