Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a prominent leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah (Houthi) movement and a member of its Supreme Political Council, has responded to recent statements from Saudi Arabia regarding Yemen. Al-Houthi warned, “If you wish to engage in a new war with Yemen, your losses will be greater than before.”

He characterized any conflict against the Yemeni people as being backed by Israel and the United States. Al-Houthi stated, “We call on Saudi Arabia to change its plans, correct its misperceptions, and change its negative propaganda and views about the Yemeni people.”

Continuing his statement, al-Houthi noted that Saudi Arabia has not learned from its past mistakes. He recalled that Saudi officials had previously claimed they would capture Yemen within two weeks but failed to do so.

Al-Houthi added that Saudi Arabia launched its attacks on Yemen at the peak of its strength, with full force, while the Yemeni people had nothing. Despite this, the Yemenis emerged victorious.
