The New York Times has reported that the U.S. government is investigating around 50 members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff over the disclosure of classified information to the media regarding the war with Iran.
Sources said the leaked information included details about the depletion of stocks of key military ammunition and weapons.
Some military officials have also been subjected to lie-detector tests to determine whether they were responsible for leaking the information.
