The twenty years of the republic can be considered the darkest days in the contemporary history of Afghanistan; a dark period in which the suffering nation of this land was ensnared by groups of evil and corruption, enduring bitter days and nights.
At that time, notorious figures such as Ismail Khan, Mohammad Mohaqiq, Abdul Rashid Dostum, Atta Mohammad Noor, and several others, while unjustly calling themselves the jihadist leaders of the country, cast their shadows over various corners of this land and plundered national assets by forming criminal gangs.
The Republic at the time, due to its incompetence and inability to curb the lawlessness of these warlords, had in a way become complicit in their plundering and had paved the way for the looting of public funds.
The Hindukush Broadcasting Agency has recently accessed confidential documents that have further revealed the true nature of Atta Mohammad Noor to the suffering people of Afghanistan and have unveiled a new chapter of thefts and plundering by his affiliates.
In these documents, names such as Syed Mohammad Noor “nephew of Atta Mohammad Noor,” Mahmood Asfiya “director of the Balkh customs,” Neda Mohammad Noor “head of the Balkh customs inspection,” Masoom Qiyomi “head of Astra,” and Habibullah Gozar “police chief of the city of Hairatan” are mentioned.
Individuals with various roles and responsibilities, but all part of one gang, under the influence of corruption of Atta Mohammad Noor, the former governor of Balkh and current member of the leadership of evil and corruption groups!
Yes! Each of these individuals, using the political influence and power of Ata Mohammad Noor during the republic, was involved in some form of financial and criminal corruption, and despite the government’s awareness of these violations, it was unable to confront them.
Crimes such as kidnapping, money smuggling abroad, bribery, corruption, and other criminal acts were all carried out under the influence and power of Ata Mohammad Noor with complete impunity, and there was no obstacle in their way.
It should be noted that Atta Mohammad Noor himself was the governor of Balkh for nearly two decades and pocketed a significant portion of the revenues from the Hairatan port. He also established numerous criminal networks using his political influence and power, with which they kidnapped traders, wealthy individuals, and their family members, demanding large sums of money for their release.
However, Alhamullah by current regime coming to power and the collapse of the Republic regime, the looting and plundering by these warlords came to an end, and the people of Afghanistan were freed from the grip of these well-dressed thieves.
