The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has issued a statement giving the Pakistani government 48 hours to carry out a prisoner exchange. The group warned that if the exchange does not take place or if military action is attempted, the captured individuals will be executed, and the train will be completely destroyed.

According to the statement, BLA commanders, through a coordinated military strategy, forced Pakistan’s ground and air forces to retreat after an eight-hour battle. The group claimed that more than 30 Pakistani soldiers were killed in these clashes.

The BLA further stated that they currently hold 214 Pakistani personnel, including military, paramilitary, police, and intelligence officers, in captivity.

The statement read: “The BLA gives the occupying Pakistani government 48 hours to unconditionally release Baloch political prisoners, forcibly disappeared individuals, and national resistance activists immediately.”

At the end of the statement, the group warned that this was its final ultimatum, emphasizing that it has the full capability to implement its decisions swiftly and effectively.
