Reuters has reported that during U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to Qatar and the signing of several agreements with the Emir of Qatar, one major deal involved the Qatari airline placing an order with American aircraft manufacturer Boeing for 210 Boeing 787 planes, valued at $96 billion.
Sources state that this is considered the largest and most valuable contract in Boeing’s history.
Initially, Trump announced the number of aircraft as 160, but the White House later clarified the total number to be 210.
After visiting Riyadh, Trump traveled to Qatar and is expected to continue on to the United Arab Emirates, with these visits largely focused on economic matters.
Previously, Trump signed investment deals worth at least $600 billion in Saudi Arabia, including a record-breaking $142 billion arms sale agreement.
Additionally, during his visit to Saudi Arabia, Trump lifted sanctions on Syria and met with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa.
