Many businessmen from Mazar-e-Sharif today provided cash and medical aid to the provincial committee led by the head of the Balkh Ulema Council.
The aid included $35,000 USD, 500,000 Afghanis, and medicines worth 2 million Afghanis.
Local officials told the Voice of Hindukush that representatives of the Balkh provincial committee met with heads of various unions in the province, who also pledged further support.
