The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) said in a statement that its chief, Sayed Karim Hashemi, met with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Ilham Mohammadov, in Kabul to discuss expanding economic and trade relations between the two countries, joint investment opportunities, and private sector cooperation.
Hashemi called for greater exports of Afghan products and asked the Azerbaijani ambassador to facilitate cooperation between Afghan traders and Azerbaijani suppliers of petrol and diesel, as well as establish links with reputable companies.
He also invited Azerbaijani traders and investors to participate in the fifth Imam Abu Hanifa National and International Exhibition.
The Azerbaijani ambassador expressed his country’s interest in expanding economic and trade relations with Afghanistan.
