The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock announced that construction of 100 greenhouses in Kandahar, valued at nearly 12 million Afghani, is now 40 percent complete.
The ministry noted that the project is funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Once finished, the greenhouses are expected to allow local farmers to supply fresh agricultural produce to the market year-round.
