The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation said in a statement that Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Afghan government, laid the foundation stone for a project to construct new facilities worth AFN 260 million at the Nasaji Passenger Terminal in Daman District of Kandahar Province.
The statement said that the project includes 250 shops, two fuel stations, two restaurants, a car wash facility, and more than 50 modern commercial shops. The project will be completed within 16 months through a public-private partnership and, upon completion, will provide passengers with essential facilities.
The statement added that the project is expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities for more than 1,000 people.
