According to local sources of Hindukhush in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, unidentified gunmen fatally shot Qayum Khan, a prominent member of the Awami National Party, in Lakki Marwat district.

The report further states that in a separate incident in Charsadda district, unidentified assailants on motorcycles opened fire near a police station, killing a police officer named Farooq.

In continuation of the attacks, two police officers were critically injured in an assault by unidentified gunmen in the surroundings of the Saddar police station in Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It is worth noting that in recent times, deadly attacks on Pakistani police and military personnel have been carried out almost daily in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the Pakistani Taliban and other anti-government groups.
