The report further states that in a separate incident in Charsadda district, unidentified assailants on motorcycles opened fire near a police station, killing a police officer named Farooq.

In continuation of the attacks, two police officers were critically injured in an assault by unidentified gunmen in the surroundings of the Saddar police station in Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
