The Ministry of Interior has announced that four families involved in two separate long-standing disputes have reconciled through the mediation of local officials in Kabul’s Paghman district. The resolutions were achieved during two separate jirgas (tribal councils), where the families formally forgave one another.

According to the Ministry, Paghman district governor Qari Ali Mohammad Mujahid expressed satisfaction during both reconciliation ceremonies and emphasized that Islam does not permit hostility among Muslims, stating that such hostility and hatred have no place in Islamic Sharia.

One of the disputes, which began nearly 17 years ago in the Bulsan Khaldari village of Paghman, had resulted in one fatality. The second conflict, which arose around 13 years ago in Farmankhel village, had led to the death of one individual and injuries to two others.
