After Hazara activists recently criticized the performance of the so-called Resistance Front and other imaginary fronts, accusing their leaders of betrayal and destructive actions, disagreements between Hazara and Tajik political activists have now become a major topic on social media.
Dawood, who is of Hazara ethnicity and served as an adviser to the National Security Council during the former republic, recently criticized Tajik leaders, stating that “the number of people killed under the Taliban has still not reached the level of casualties during the rule of Rabbani and Massoud.”
Responding to these remarks, Tajik political activist Samiullah Seyhoon wrote on his Facebook page, asking who had given Dawood Naji the confidence to speak so openly about the history, identity, and culture of the Tajik people.
He added that if Naji’s remarks were not intended as an act of revenge against Rabbani and Massoud, then what was the purpose of making such statements.
Seyhoon also defended the recent remarks made by Latif Pedram, saying that Pedram’s call for clarification regarding the intentions and objectives of the front was meant to ensure that Tajik youth would not once again become victims of intelligence-driven political games.
