Dr. Essam Abdulshafi, a Qatar-based expert in international relations, stated that Pakistan’s ruling regime continues to follow misguided policies in Afghanistan to further the U.S. agenda in the region.

He made these comments in reaction to the Pakistani military regime’s airstrike on Kabul’s 2,000-bed hospital for addicts.

Dr. Abdulshafi added that instead of using its resources and capabilities to confront its main strategic rival, India, Pakistan’s ruling regime is waging a futile and pointless war in Afghanistan.
