Espionage, Betrayal, and Escape; The Repetitive Story of Treacherous Traitors

The disputes and conflicts among the parties and groups opposing the caretaker government have been a common occurrence, not just since the fall of the republic, but from the very beginning of the unfortunate emergence of these groups, existing in all periods and deepening more and more each day.

But in recent days, after a long wandering of these groups in Western and neighboring countries in search of a new master, these disputes have spread within their hollow parties and fronts, igniting verbal and political conflicts among their leaders; to the extent that each accuses the other of betrayal, espionage, and secret dealings with foreigners.

The accusation of Ahmad Massoud being a spy might not be a new topic for some, but the fact that someone from within the Resistance Front has spoken out and accused him of espionage clearly reveals the depth of internal conflicts and struggles within the front.

These accusations intensified after Ahmad Massoud’s trip to Iran and the strengthening of his ties with Pakistan, significantly increasing discontent among the supporters of the Resistance Front.

But what is the reality of Ahmad Massoud’s visits and relations with the governments of Iran and Pakistan? Are these contacts truly for national interests as claimed, or are there hidden agreements and disgraceful deals behind the scenes to maintain personal positions and garner foreign support?

With a little thinking on the dark record of Ahmad Massoud and his like-minded associates, it becomes clear that these visits and meetings are not for the benefit of the people and the country, but rather to consolidate their personal positions and, through this, to create a glimmer of hope for their return to power in Afghanistan.

On this path, they don’t care what price they pay; if necessary, they resort to espionage, willing to trade away part or even all of the country’s territory, accept servitude to foreign countries, and auction off the little dignity and credibility they have left, just like their forefathers did in the political marketplace. Because in their view, everything is a means to achieve their unclean desires, even if this goal comes at the cost of destroying national honor and trampling on the blood of thousands of martyrs.

During the Republic, when people lived under the shadow of occupation and witnessed various atrocities every day, they hoped for those who would stand against the occupiers; meanwhile, Ahmad Massoud and his like-minded associates, contrary to their demagogic slogans of supporting the people, not only did nothing, but shamelessly stood alongside the occupiers, not against them.

Ahmad Masood and his family, since the establishment of the republican system, have been pursuing positions, dollars, and the favor of foreign embassies instead of serving the people.

The Ahmad Shah Massoud Foundation also appeared to be a cultural and charitable institution, but in reality, it had turned into their personal shop; a place where millions of dollars in foreign aid and government budgets were spent on leisure trips, luxurious lifestyles, and filling their bank accounts abroad instead of helping the people and the families of the martyrs.

Masoud’s associates, with their extensive influence in government offices, gained nothing for the people except corruption and oppression through favoritism, bribery, and the usurpation of public assets.

From a political perspective as well, Ahmad Massoud never remained loyal to the nation’s ideals; he, who always pretended to support the people and resist, was actually negotiating with foreigners behind the scenes to maintain his position.

After the collapse of the republic, as expected, not only did he not stand with the people to rebuild the country, but he also headed to foreign countries. Since then, he has been wandering from one country to another, trying to garner the support of the enemies of this nation.
